Police: Hundreds Of People Victimized By Theft Ring

EVERETT, Wash. —

Police in Snohomish County are looking for victims of a theft ring after four suspects were arrested.

The group is responsible for 60 car thefts in Everett in just the first week of May, police said. The thieves also stole weapons, appliances, furniture, electronics and even victims' identities.

"This group had been living by criminal means -- shoplifting, stolen cards, fraudulent … checks, forgery, stolen identification -- for some time," said Sgt. Boyd Bryant of the Everett Police Department.

Police cracked the case when a stolen car's Onstar locator beacon started going off. Detectives zeroed in on it and the arrest of its driver led to the alleged ringleader, police said.

Four people are under arrest.

The car stolen are worth about $300,000.
