ARLINGTON, Wash. —

Arlington police are asking for the public’s help in catching a robber who struck a local bank in downtown Arlington on Wednesday.

Police said they responded to a bank robbery at about 3:20 p.m. at the Union Bank in the 500 block of North Olympic Avenue.

Officers said the robber provided a demand note to the bank teller and left the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The robber is described as a white man in his 20s, approximately 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing between 150 and 170 pounds. The man had very short, brown, hair with a distinct receding hairline with a “widow’s peak,” a short brown chin-only goatee-style beard and hoop earrings in both ears. He was wearing a black baggy faux leather zip-up jacket with a collar, a white and dark blue, striped, long sleeved button-up collared shirt, baggy blue jeans, a black belt with a silver buckle and black tennis shoes.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact the Arlington Police Department at 360-403-3400.
