Police Investigate Food And Clothing Bank Break-In

HAMILTON, Wash. —

Someone broke into a food and clothing bank intended to help the needy.

Theresa Allyn was shocked at the effort someone went to break into the food and clothing bank she runs in Hamilton

"They were basically jeans and shirts that they were looking for so like this whole area was down and dumped on the floor in a pile it was really a mess," said Allyn.

Over the weekend, thieves broke into the Hamilton Care Center, vandalizing the bank and pouring gasoline in the back.

Kim Allison has been coming to the center since her house burned down nearly a year ago.

"Everything here is free so why break into it, I don't understand," said Allison.

Pastor Ron Edwards who helps operate the center, says no one is ever turned away
