Police: Man Repeatedly Shocked Woman With Stun Gun

HOQUIAM, Wash. —

Police arrested a man who they said attacked a woman with a stun gun at an apartment in Hoquiam on Monday.

An officer responding to a report of an assault heard yelling and a banging sound as he arrived at the apartment in the 500 block of Karr Avenue Monday morning, police said in a news release.

The victim told the officer the man in her apartment choked her, punched her and used a Taser on her after the two argued over a phone call.

"The man shocked her a number of times and, according the victim, only stopped because the police arrived," the news release said.

The suspect, a 28-year-old Silverdale man, was booked into the Grays Harbor County Jail on suspicion of second-degree assault.

The victim did not seek medical attention.
