SEATTLE —

A 22-year-old man was shot in front of a Central District home Saturday evening, and the shooter is still at large, police said.

According to the Seattle Police Department, the shooting happened in the 500 block of 26th Avenue South after 5 p.m.

Police said, several residents called 911 and reported hearing three to five gunshots and saw a man leaving with several people in a silver Mazda.

Officers responded to the location and secured the area.

According to police, the man was shot in his torso twice during a disturbance outside of a home at the location.

The man was taken to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. His condition is unknown at this time.

Officers are still looking for the shooter, and believe the incident is not a random act.

Police described the shooter as a black man, early 20s, wearing a black jacket, black shoes and a knit cap. He was last seen fleeing the area on foot.

The Police Department’s Gang Unit is currently investigating the shooting.
