SEATTLE —
Seattle police believe a dispute outside of a downtown club led to a shooting that left a man was shot in the stomach early Saturday morning.
Police said the incident happened around 3:15 a.m. in the 1500 block of 2nd Avenue.
Officer responded to the location after a report of a shooting.
When police arrived at the scene, they found a man with a gunshot wound to his abdomen and started first aid until medics arrived.
The man was taken to Harborview Medical Center for his injury, but his condition is unknown at this time.
When police interviewed witnesses, they believe that the shooting happened after a dispute outside of the club Noc Noc.
According to police, the parties involved took their fight outside where it escalated on the west side of the street, then ended with shots fired.
The shooter then fled the scene in a car, and police searched the area but was not located.
Detectives with the Seattle Police Department’s gang unit responded to the scene to investigate and will do a followup.
