Police respond to parking lot drug deal gone wrong



LAKEWOOD, Wash. —

Lakewood police responded to a drug deal that went wrong Thursday afternoon in a parking lot of an apartment building, according to the Lakewood Police Department.

 

 

Police said the suspect had a gun and went into an apartment located on Thunderbird Parkway and Steilacoom Boulevard Southwest.

 

 

The police are currently waiting for a warrant, and residents in the building were not evacuated.

 

 

Schools in the area were on lockdown, but students were later released.
