SEATTLE —
In the first case, a man who had been kicked out of a Fremont bar was involved in a fight in the 400 block of North 36th Street on July 19. He was treated at the scene but later lapsed into a coma, police said.
In the second case, a man was hurt in the 2200 block of First Avenue in Belltown on July 27.
A witness told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News that a group of men attacked Daniel Stoy, a 29-year-old Microsoft employee who works for the company in Fargo, North Dakota.
Police said a man punched the victim in the face, causing him to fall backwards and hit his head on the sidewalk.
Police said the attacker is a a black male in his 20s, 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds. One witness reported seeing up to six men who left the area with him.
Stoy was taken to Harborview Medical Center, where he is listed in serious condition.
