AUBURN, Wash. —

Power lines trapped 38 kids on a school bus in Auburn after the bus struck a power pole on its route home Wednesday afternoon.

 

Video from Chopper 7 showed power lines atop the bus and children inside it after the accident at 292nd Street Southeast and 132nd Avenue Southeast.

 

Deputy Superintendent Mike Newman said the kids were from Arthur Jacobson Elementary School.  No one was hurt.

 

Puget Sound Energy crews responded to the scene, and they have confirmed an outage that affected 1,700 customers was caused by the school bus

 

Crews closed 132nd Ave SE in both directions in front of Auburn Mountainview High School.
