OLYMPIA, Wash. —

The Port of Olympia commission has moved Monday's meeting from its board room to The Olympia Center to handle an expected crowd.

Protesters plan to ask the commission to stop allowing military Shipments, the Daily Olympian reported.

About 100 anti-war demonstrators protested last week as a shipment from Fort Lewis was loaded on a ship at Olympia bound for Iraq. Two were arrested for trespassing and damage to a fence was estimated at $3,500.

The Army resumed shipments through Olympia this year for the first time since 1987 because of scheduling conflicts at the Port of Tacoma.

All three port commissioners support the shipments. The first three this year paid $629,000 -- about a quarter of the revenue this year from the marine terminal.
