SEATTLE —

This weekend’s weather forecast has a possible chance of light snow, and the Seattle Department of Transportation’s street maintenance division has prepared their equipment to be available in case it is needed.

According to the SDOT, supplies of snow and ice-fighting materials have been replenished, and these include granular rock salt and liquid magnesium chloride.

Snowplows and spreaders will be mounted on 20 dump trucks, and four flusher trucks with liquid magnesium chloride will be ready.

The SDOT will continue to monitor conditions throughout the weekend, and if conditions warrant, night crews will patrol for ice, and treat bridges and streets.

The SDOT said additional crews will be available to come in at any time throughout the weekend and for the morning commute on Monday.
