Accused rapist and Seattle attorney Danford Grant is out of jail after posting bail and being outfitted with an electronic home monitoring device.

Grant was escorted in his orange jail clothes on the 10th floor of the King County Courthouse to be fitted with an electronic ankle bracelet on Wednesday. 

Twenty minutes later, a KIRO 7 Eyewitness News photographer caught video of him in street clothes.  Reporter Michelle Millman asked him questions as he left, but he didn't say a word.

Question: "Danford, do you have any comment?" [Silence.]

Question: "Do you have any comment to the alleged victims?" [Silence.]

Grant went into a room marked "employees only," where inmates being released are briefed on how the home monitoring system works.

The judge overseeing the case ordered conditions of Grant's release, requiring a home monitoring device, limiting use of his computer and allowing him to leave his home for up to four hours a day.

At Grant's Seattle home, a sign near the front door asks media to give the family privacy.

Grant is charged with seven felony counts, including four counts of first-rape. Prosecutors allege the Seattle attorney attacked five women who work in massage therapy offices in Shoreline, Seattle and Bellevue.

His attorney said his client's release from jail is "a huge relief for all concerned."
