SEATTLE —
The Seattle Police Department on Friday defended its actions during Monday’s Occupy Seattle protest at the Port of Seattle.
Police said during a news conference that the situation was “scary” for officers and that protesters were throwing bricks, flares and bags of paint.
Regarding claims from a Columbia City minister who told KIRO 7 on Wednesday that police assaulted him during the protest, police acknowledged the man had filed a complaint and it was being investigated by the department’s Office of Police Accountability.
Police said they want to know who may have seen an attack during the protests to call them.
