Seattle Police Investigate 2 Shootings

Gang Unit To Head Up Investigation



SEATTLE —

Seattle police are investigating two shootings that took place in South Seattle early Sunday morning.

At about 3 a.m., police responded to a shots fired near Airport Way South and South Nebraska Street, police said.

Officers checked the area and found blood nearby in the 900 block of South Doris Street.

Other officers responded to East Marginal Way South and Diagonal Avenue South for a report of a man shot.

Meanwhile, other officers found the victim and Seattle Fire Department medics transported the man to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

At about 3:30 a.m. officers responded to the intersection of 9th Avenue and East Jefferson Street, where they found a parked car with two men inside, one of whom had been shot.

Medics treated the victim, police said.

Seattle Police Gang Unit continues to investigate these incidents.
