SEATTLE —

Seattle police and fire responded to the scene of a car accident to find one man shot in the face at the intersection of 23rd Avenue South and South Jackson Street on Wednesday afternoon.

Seattle police told KIRO 7 that the vehicle the victim was riding in was shot at by someone in another car. The driver of the victim’s car sped up to escape the shooter and ran a red light, hitting a third car driving through the intersection.

Witnesses at the scene said they saw two cars crash and then several males exit one of the vehicles and flee the scene.
