Seattle Standoff Ends With Man Killing Himself

An overnight standoff at a north Seattle home ended when police discovered the man inside had killed himself.

It began with a domestic violence call Tuesday night in the Maple Leaf neighborhood. A woman and a year-old child were taken to a hospital.

Police surrounded the home where the man suspected of the assault refused to come out. When officers entered the home about 3 a.m. Wednesday the found him dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
