'Sexually Motivated' Intruder Enters Lynnwood Homes

LYNNWOOD, Wash. —

A man has entered seven homes in Lynnwood in recent months, targeting women in what police described as sexually motivated break-ins, KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reported.

The Lynnwood Police Department has distributed fliers in the area north of 196th Street Southwest and west of Highway 99 with the fliers, which warn women to be on alert.

Police said the man gets into homes through unlocked doors in the early-morning hours.

"Somebody knocked at the door at 3 a.m.," said one man, whose mother was attacked. "She came to open the door and he jumped on her. He jumped on her, brought her to the couch, got up and ran out the door."

The man has entered seven homes between last October and April 16. He has accosted women between 15 and 56 years old, police said.

Police said they believe the man lives in a neighborhood near Daleway Park.

They said they have eliminated several persons of interest but they do not have a suspect.
