Ship Canal Accident Slows Morning Commute

The collision took place on Monday at 7:50 a.m. on the I-5 express lanes in Seattle.

While the bus blocked traffic, vehicles could still get by on the right lane. A second bus arrived at the scene to transport passengers from the bus involved in the collision.

Around 8:30 a.m., the backup was at 5 miles to NE 145th Street.

WSDOT Incident Response, fire, tow and aid all responded to the incident.
