OLYMPIA, Wash. —

A small plane that apparently clipped some wires crashed nose-first onto a road northwest of Olympia Tuesday afternoon.

Photos e-mailed to KIRO 7 Eyewitness News showed the yellow single-engine plane on its nose along the side of a road.

Dispatchers said the plane went down in the 4500 block of Steamboat Island Road Northwest.

The photos showed medics at the scene, but there was no immediate word on whether anyone was hurt.
