PORT ORCHARD, Wash. —
A soldier from Port Orchard has been killed in Afghanistan, according to Air Force Mortuary Affairs Operations.
Adam J. Patton, a specialist in the Army, died in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
The Department of Defense has not released details about Patton’s death. The confirmation from the Air Force office, based at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware, was released on Saturday after notifying next of kin.
Patton is the 11th service member from Kitsap County to die in the ongoing combat missions in either Iraq or Afghanistan.
