Son Of Couple In Child Sex Abuse Case Seeks Child Support From Father's Estate

The man who went to police after he learned of allegations that his father was sexually abusing the family's adopted daughters filed a civil suit against his mother and his father's estate Tuesday, in part seeking child support for three of his sisters.

Trey Hamrick went to police after he discovered the allegations against his father, Scott Hamrick, Trey's attorney Nelson Fraley said earlier this month.

Drew Anne Hamrick is currently facing charges of unlawful imprisonment and criminal mistreatment, among others, in the case. Scott Hamrick committed suicide on June 30 after, a source told KIRO 7 Investigator Chris Halsne, a police investigation was launched into the abuse allegations.

Tuesday's claim alleges that Drew Anne Hamrick has received tens of thousands of dollars stemming from her husband's death and stands to inherit hundreds of thousands more. The suit seeks to divert some of those funds to the adopted Hamrick children and Trey Hamrick, who is acting as their legal guardian, for child support.

We will update this story as more information becomes available.
