Standoff Ends Peacefully At Boulevard Park Apartments

BOULEVARD PARK, Wash. —

Police have taken three people into custody in connection with a five-hour standoff in Boulevard Park.

King County sheriff's deputies surrounded an apartment building in the 13100 block of 26th Avenue South in Boulevard Park around 7 a.m. Sunday, KIRO 7 reported.

A King County sheriff's dispatch supervisor said that police responded to the location on a report of a robbery suspect.

The supervisor said that at least one man was refusing to come out of an apartment.

Police evacuated nearby apartments units and police later brought in their SWAT unit.

At one point police fired some sort of gas into the apartment from where the suspect was refusing to come out.

Eventually police took 3 men into custody, KIRO 7 reported.

KIRO 7 spoke to one man who said that he was pistol-whipped while being held hostage along with his girlfriend and child in the apartment.

KIRO 7 will continue to monitor this story and will update this story when new information is available.
