Some stores are extending their hours this weekend for people to do their last-minute Christmas shopping.

Tukwila’s Toys R Us is one of the stores that is offering round-the-clock hours for shoppers who have been putting buying gifts off, and the store is staying open for 88 hours straight.

Toys R Us opened its doors Friday morning and will not close until 10 p.m.  Christmas Eve.

A shopper, Staci Sarfert, told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reporter Frank Field that she appreciated the extra hours of shopping.

“Yeah, no this works out great, especially getting over to the mall before all the madness starts this afternoon,” said Sarfert.

“I mean for anybody who has to do that last-minute shopping, people that have to work this weekend or anything like that before Christmas, this is a great opportunity,” said another shopper, Craig Renwick.

Another retailer, Macy’s, is open 48 hours straight throughout the weekend. Target is open until 9 p.m. Monday.
