SEATTLE —

Police are asking the public’s help in an investigation involving a man who was fatally stabbed in Belltown early Friday morning.

Surveillance video was released Friday evening, which may be new information in the investigation.

Early Friday morning, a man was fatally stabbed in the parking lot on First Avenue and Bell Street.

According to police, the man left a nightclub with his girlfriend around 1:45 a.m. when he got into a fight with several men. The man and woman tried to walk away, but the man was followed to his car, and one of the men stabbed him in the chest.

Medics took the man to Harborview Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Police said the suspects are described as Hispanic men who are believed to have fled the area in a gray truck.

A security camera in the area captured images of an SUV leaving a First Avenue parking lot near where the man was stabbed.

A source told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News that it is possible that the person involved in the stabbing may have been the woman’s previous boyfriend.

According to police, witnesses took cellphone pictures and they are asking anyone with information to come forward.

Anyone with any information about the fatal stabbing or who has video of the disturbance leading up to the incident is urged to contact the Seattle Police Homicide Unit at 206-684-5550.
