Suspect Arrested In Bellevue Hotel Robberies

BELLEVUE, Wash. —

Police believe the man arrested after a hotel robbery Monday morning in Bellevue is responsible for other recent hotel holdups in the Seattle area.

Bellevue police spokesman Greg Grannis said an employee in an office at the Bellevue Hyatt heard a commotion about 3 a.m. in the lobby and called 911.

A man who appeared to have a gun wrapped in plastic demanded money and fled.

Police arrived in time to make an arrest as he drove away. The "gun" was a hand drill.

Grannis said he matches the description of a man who held up two hotels Friday in Seattle and Tukwila, and he may be responsible for others as well.
