CENTRALIA, Wash. —
The driver of a truck is seen on surveillance video ramming a Centralia police officer's patrol car during a pursuit.
Centralia police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle seen in the 1100 block of South Gold Street in Centralia at 4:22 p.m. on Thursday.
When an officer spotted the truck, he tried to pull the truck over, but the driver did not stop and a pursuit began, police said.
The pursuit traveled through Centralia to the intersection of Euclid and Third Street, where the driver of the truck rammed the patrol car twice and then fled, officers reported.
Video showed the officer exit his cruiser and fire two shots, then return to his patrol car and follow the truck.
The truck traveled to an area west of L St. where the driver exited the vehicle and fled.
The man was tracked by a K-9 and taken into custody.
The 32-year-old SeaTac man was booked into the Lewis County Jail for investigation of first-degree assault and possession of stolen property.
