SAMMAMISH, Wash. —

A suspicious object found near an Eastside school forced authorities to put the school under lockdown on Friday morning, KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reported.

Sheriff's deputies sent a robot to inspect the object, which was found in a wooded area near Pine Lake Middle School.

The object turned out to be a harmless piece of PVC pipe that was part of a potato cannon, authorities said.

The lockdown was lifted.
