Suspicious Package Causes Brief Shutdown On Broadway

SEATTLE —

A portion of Broadway on Capitol Hill was shut down this morning after a suspicious package was found, Seattle Police said.

Police responded to the corner of Broadway and Howell Street at about 7 a.m. when someone called in an abandoned suitcase found there, police said. Arson Bomb detectives x-rayed the suitcase, but found nothing inside and the intersection was reopened at about 7:15 a.m.
