MAPLE VALLEY, Wash. —
Two schools in the Tahoma School District were in lockdown Tuesday afternoon after students said they saw a suspicious man behind the school, said district spokesperson Kevin Patterson.
Shadow Lake Elementary and Cedar River Middle School were in lockdown beginning around 3:25 p.m. and it was lifted shortly before 5 p.m.
Patterson said students reported seeing a man dressed in black in the woods behind the school and they believe he was carrying a pistol or handgun.
Police searched the area, but werent able to find anyone.
Parents were able to pick up their children around 5 p.m.
