Dominick Maldonado, 22, was convicted last month of kidnapping, assault and attempted murder for the rampage on Nov. 20, 2005.

Seven people were wounded in the shootings and four were held hostage.

During the trial, Maldonado said he never meant to hurt anyone and went to the mall two years ago to get attention.

When Maldonado addressed the court he apologized to the vicitms and then mentioned the Seahawks.

"I hope the Seahawks have a good year this year, I hope they win against the Browns this year," Maldonado said.

A psychiatrist testified that Maldonado was not in his right mind at the time.

The prosecutor said Maldonado knew exactly what he was doing, planned the attack and called friends and 911 dispatchers during the shooting to tell them about it.
