Recent Luring Attempt Led To Break In Case

Parents with kids in Tacoma schools were relieved to hear Jameson Joaquin, 22, was arrested and charged with luring a number of children the area.

"So far, it looks like we have five in Tacoma and one out in the county," said Mark Fulghum of the Tacoma Police Department.

Joaquin is jailed on suspicion of five counts of attempted child luring and one count of second-degree attempted kidnapping.

The arrest follows the attempted luring of a 14-year-old boy, who was riding his bike home from Gray Middle School last Tuesday when he was approached by a man. The man said he was "cute" and offered the boy money.

Three weeks ago, a man tried to a lure a girl on her way to Edison Elementary School, which is next door to Gray Middle School.
