Teacher Hit By Car That Drove Into Olympia Daycare's Classroom

OLYMPIA, Wash. —

A teacher has been injured by a car that drove into the classroom of an Olympia daycare. Two children were knocked down but were not seriously hurt.

The teacher suffered minor injuries but may have been transported to the hospital to be evaluated.

Two children were knocked down by flying debris, but did not sustain any serious injuries.

Police said a 34-year-old man was dropping off a child at Kindercare at 2309 Ninth Avenue at about 8:45 a.m. on Thursday when the crash occurred.

Officers said an initial investigation indicates that the man may have accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brake pedal while trying to park.
