PORT ORCHARD, Wash. —
The Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office found a missing teenager on Thursday.
Gabriel Deshawn Boyd, age 13, of Bremerton, was reported missing from a family residence on Southeast Horstman Road in South Kitsap early Thursday morning.
Prior to disappearing, Boyd was last seen at East Port OrchardElementary School, 2649 Hoover Ave. SE in South Kitsap, around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. His family reported to police that he left his mother’s house to visit with a friend and did not return.
Boyd is African-American. He has brown eyes and black hair. He is 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 130 pounds.
The Kitsap County Sheriff’s Search & Rescue Unit coordinated a ground search from a command post at South Kitsap Regional Park, located at Jackson Avenue SE and SE Marbeth Lane. The search was conducted by ground searchers from Washington Explorer Search and Rescue, Kitsap Unit and All Breed Canine Search and Rescue.
He was found at approximately 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
