Larry Kloes, 49, was killed Saturday.

"It makes you angry because Larry was a kind-hearted man," said Leilia Kloes, the victim's mother.

To Leilia Kloes, the death of her youngest child is both senseless and infuriating because she says one of the suspects was a 15-year-old Larry had befriended, even taking him into his home for a time.

"He did and this is what he got," she said. "It doesn't make sense. It's not fair."

Leilia Kloes said the teen returned Larry's many kindnesses by stealing his truck, repeatedly breaking into the family vacation home and now possibly, by committing murder.

Police weren't revealing details of the murder, but his family told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News Kloes was robbed, his gun collection stolen, and that he was shot.

A 16-year-old and an 18-year-old were arrested after Kloes's black 1984 Pontiac Firebird was found Sunday in Bonney Lake, and the 15-year-old was arrested late Sunday night in Sumner.
