Three Fires Erupt Within Minutes In Everett

EVERETT, Wash. —

Everett fire crews responded to three early-morning fires Friday that appear to be the result of vandalism.

An Everett Fire Department crew said it responded at about 5 a.m. to a trash can fire at Legion Park on Everett's north end. Two minutes later, another crew responded to an owner-extinguished gazebo fire, and to a nearby smoldering blanket on a golf course chain link fence within a short distance of Legion Park, fire officials said.

The damage from the three fires is estimated to be less than $200.

No one was injured. The incidents are under investigation.
