EVERETT, Wash. —

Two toppled radio towers in Snohomish County were reinstalled on Monday.

The KRKO towers were knocked down last September in a possible act of eco-terrorism.

Whoever did it left behind a banner with the letters ELF – which stand for Earth Liberation Front. The FBI considers ELF an eco-terror group.

But investigators say it’s possible that it wasn't eco-terrorism, It could have been an upset neighbor. Residents had been fighting to keep the tall towers out of what they called the "tower farm."

The destructive act didn't shut down Everett radio station, which was able to keep transmitting from other towers.

KRKO is still offering a $25,000 reward for the capture of who is responsible for toppling the towers.

Station manager Andy Skotdal says they had hoped to restore the towers earlier. He expects to have the towers transmitting in the next two months.
