A woman was hit and killed in a Lake City crosswalk in North Seattle, and traffic just kept on moving.

Video: Cars Continue Past As Pedestrian Is Run Over

The woman reportedly tried to cross the street without a walk signal.

The driver says he didn't see her in heavy 30-mile-an-hour traffic.

Eyewitnesses say cars kept driving through the accident scene, running over the victim's things as if nothing had happened.

Witness Angie Scofield says it was almost impossible to do anything to help, because she couldn't stop other drivers, who just kept on going, driving right by the woman's body, slamming into her backpack, and other things she dropped. She worried someone might run over the woman again.

When they were finally able to stop traffic, witnesses say a doctor ran over to give the woman CPR. The elderly driver who hit her reportedly never saw her in heavy 30 mile per hour traffic.
