SNOQUALMIE PASS, Wash. —

The Washington State Patrol is conducting chain enforcement on I-90 eastbound near Snoqualmie Pass summit.

The State Patrol said that chains are required on all vehicles except all wheel drive, and oversize vehicles are prohibited.

The State Patrol required motorists to chain up at mile post 47 at Tinkham Road.

Road conditions are snow, slush and ice in places along I-90.

The Patrol said that motorists can expect big backups and delays as long as two hours.
