TACOMA, Wash. —

A motorcycle accident following a rock concert in Tacoma injured two people, one critically.

Police said two women from British Columbia who rode a motorcycle to Tacoma for Wednesday night’s Aerosmith concert met a couple of motorcycle riders at a bar called the Swiss.

One of the women told police they wanted to find a place with karaoke, so they started to ride north on Dock Street to another bar.

At one point, the couple on the lead bike realized the other motorcycle wasn't behind them and went back and found the accident scene.

Police said there was a long debris field, indicating that the motorcycle was traveling fast.

The driver of the bike, a 32-year-old man from Spanaway, went to Saint Joseph Medical Center in critical condition.

His passenger, a 31-year-old woman from British Columbia, has serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said the woman was wearing a full-face helmet which offered her more protection, while the driver may have been wearing a much smaller helmet.

Police think alcohol and speed were factors in the crash.

The driver could face charges of vehicular assault when he is released from the hospital.
