SEATTLE —

A horrible crash late Thursday night killed one person and left two others fighting for their lives.

Video: Police Say Alcohol May Have Played Role

Police said alcohol may have played a part in the speeding death of a 20-year-old woman, along a winding road in King County.

"Alcohol was suspected because of alcohol containers in vehicle," said Sgt. Tom Smith of the King County Sheriff's Department.

But a survivor of the accident told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News that the driver wasn't drinking before the crash.

"I just want to let everyone know that there was no drinking, she would not drink and drive. She was more responsible than that."

The accident happened along the Summit-Landsburg Road near Ravensdale.

The driver of a Chevy Blazer heading westbound lost control and rolled into the oncoming lanes, colliding with a pickup truck.

The Chevy's driver and passenger, who were not wearing seatbelts, were thrown from the vehicle. The Chevy's driver was killed.

A couple in the pickup suffered serious and critical injuries.

Police said witnesses reported seeing the Chevy being driven recklessly.

Two of the accident victims taken to Harborview Medical Center. One of them was in critical condition and the other was in serious condition.

The teenage passenger in the Blazer suffered a broken leg.

Police said tests would determine whether alcohol was involved.
