Crash on SB I-5 in Everett slows traffic

A multi-car crash on southbound Interstate 5 in Everett backed up traffic for miles Wednesday morning.

The crash occurred at 5:51 a.m.  at the Boeing freeway/Highway 526 and blocked two lanes.

The backup at 6:40 a.m. was 4 miles, but all lanes were open by 7 a.m. and the backup began to slowly dissipate.

The crash involved four vehicles.  Those involved suffered minor injuries.

Fire, a DOT Incident Response Team and the State Patrol were at the scene.
