Crews Close US 2 Near Gold Bar

GOLD BAR, Wash. —

Department of Transportation crews closed lanes of US 2 in both directions east of Gold Bar Wednesday morning to clear debris from the roadway.

A 28-ton concrete panel slid off a truck on Sunday. It damaged a railing on the Anderson Creek Bridge.

Crews hauled away the panel, and then opened a lane alternating between eastbound and westbound traffic while they finished.

Drivers can expect more closures in the area next week to repair damage to the bridge.
