The Washington State Department of Transportation said workers found no damage to the road, despite tons of mud, rocks, trees and debris that hit the highway Monday night.

WSDOT crews planned to work all day Thursday to clear the largest slide at Granite Creek near Mile Post 150. The slide measured 750 feet wide and 5 feet deep.

A thunderstorm that dumped heavy rain on the area caused four mudslides west of Rainy Pass.

The slides trapped 65 people for about six hours before they were safely rescued.
