Icy Roads Tangle Morning Commute

SEATTLE —

Icy roads in the greater Puget Sound area made for a nasty commute Tuesday morning, reported KIRO 7 Eyewitness News.

Video from Chopper 7 showed various crashes from cars sliding off treacherous road surfaces.

Accidents occurred on Myers way in Seattle as well as on Renton’s East Hill.

Department of Transportation cameras showed two pickup trucks on Tukwila’s Southcenter hill on top of each other from the force of a rear-end crash.

Bridges were also problematic spots. Crashes blocked both sides of the 520 bridge at Portage Bay at one point during the morning’s commute.
