AUBURN, Wash. —
Firefighters said a man was killed on southbound state Route 167 in Auburn Monday morning.
A Toyota pickup crashed head-on into a bridge support at a high rate of speed at 15th Street Northwest in Auburn, fire officials said.
Valley Regional Fire Authority Battalion Chief Daniel Bosch said the lone occupant was a 66-year-old man. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses said there were no brake lights seen from the Toyota prior to the impact.
The Washington State Patrol is investigating the crash.
