TUKWILA —

Tukwila fire officials say two people died early Sunday in a house fire.

Flames were reported from the single-story home on 46th Avenue South around 4:30 am.

Seven adults and one infant lived in the home. Five of the adults managed to escape the flames with the infant, but two adults, a man and a woman, did not make it out.

Another resident was transported to Harborview Medical Center with burns.  His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The Tukwila Fire Department says that after the fire was extinguished, firefighters found the two victims inside the home. Their names have not been released.

The Red Cross is assisting the residents.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.
