A 3.4 magnitude earthquake rattled residents across Western Washington Tuesday morning.

New measurements show the depth of the quake at about 4 miles beneath the Earth's surface.

KIRO 7 viewers in Monroe, Granite Falls, Edmonds, Redmond, Duvall, Echo Lake and others reported feeling the earthquake.

Marcy Dejong lives and works in rural Duvall.

"Bang! And it felt like someone shook the bed," said Dejong.

And while she said she was used to getting up early, this morning she said she didn't need her alarm clock.

"It was just the jolt - banged the windows," said Dejong.

It was an unsettling start for thousands of residents.

"It felt like the whole upstairs shook back and forth because we have an old farmhouse," said Lora Ricks of Duvall.

So far, there have been no reports of damage or injuries from the earthquake.

The Washington Transportation Department inspected five bridges in east King County as a precaution but found no damage.

The Tolt River Bridge and some other bridges in east King County are not being inspected. The county said the bridges are only examined if an earthquake is magnitude 5.0 or higher.

The Seattle Department of Transportation also checked several bridges and said crews found no evidence of damage.
