Van Stolen With Baby Inside

SEATTLE —

Police found a van with a baby inside shortly after it was stolen in south Seattle Monday morning, KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reported.

The van was parked in the 6400 block of Corson Avenue South in the city's Georgetown neighborhood when someone stole it at about 10:45 a.m.

The 7-month-old baby was still inside when police found the vehicle a short time later near Corson Avenue South and South Doris Street.

The baby is OK.

The parents work at a bakery and the mother was loading the van for a delivery when someone jumped in and drove off.

The father searched for a time in another car until police stopped him and told him that the baby had been found safe.
