PIERCE COUNTY, Wash. —
Two vehicles that were struck by gunfire early Sunday morning were determined to be from different firearms, said officials with the Washington State Patrol.
Troopers said a minivan on State Route 16 between the Narrows Bridge and Jackson Avenue and a sedan traveling on Interstate 5 between 56th and 38th Street were struck by bullets before 5 a.m.
The drivers of both vehicles were not hit.
Detectives are still investigating the shooting and are treating the incident as two separate cases.
