A new call was issued Wednesday for volunteers to help pass out flyers with the hope they will generate new leads in the search for Sky Metalwala.
Posts on a Facebook page dedicated to the search effort are reminding supports about an event scheduled for Saturday. Clay Terry, the lawyer for Sky Metalwala’s father, Solomon Metalwala, told KIRO 7 volunteers will meet Saturday morning in Redmond and pass out flyers with new pictures of Sky.
The volunteers plan to target areas in Redmond close to where Sky’s mother, Julia Biryukova, lived and shopped.
The page did not have many RSVPs when KIRO 7 checked Wednesday afternoon.
Sky Metalwala disappeared November 6 after his mother said she ran out of gas in Bellevue, left the car and returned to find that Sky was gone.
The case is scheduled to be featured on America’s Most Wanted on Friday.
We checked with Bellevue police Wednesday, and they said they have no new information in the case.
